The Newmont Lake Project is located within British Columbia's Golden Triangle, situated 30 km northwest of the Eskay Creek mine and 30 kilometres southeast of NovaGold/Teck Resources' Galore Creek Project. The project combines the pre-existing Newmont Lake, Dirk, and Andrei properties into a single copper-gold-silver metallogenic district.

In 2012, Romios conducted geophysical and exploration drilling at the Northwest, 72, and Ken Zones. Results have been received for the 72 Zone drill assays, and are forthcoming for the Ken and Northwest Zones.

History

Romios' 2005-2009 exploration programs consisted of diamond drilling, metallurgical test work and ground geophysical surveys. The geophysical surveys identified large anomalous IP and magnetic zones extending to the southwest of the Northwest Zone that were drilled in 2009. Geophysical work in 2007 also identified additional targets and confirmed existing anomalies at the Ken Zone. In 2009-2010, Romios completed surface sampling on the former Dirk property, which led to geophysical surveys, drilling, and discovery of the the '72 and Telena Zones in 2011 and 2012.

Future Plans

Romios plans to continue geotechnical, upgrade, and definition drilling on the Northwest Zone resource, exploration drilling and resource development on the '72, Ken, and Telena Zones, and investigate numerous other mineralized showings on the property. Near-term future plans are for preparation and commencement of a Preliminary Economic Assessment for infrastructure, access, and development utilizing the opportunity for low-cost production provided by proximal road, communications, and power provided by AltaGas' McLymont River Hydropower Project located only 15 kilometers south along a broad, open valley from Romios' Newmont Lake Project.
