Romios Announces Appointment of New C.F.O. and Grant of Stock Options
| ||TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 28, 2007) - Romios Gold Resources Inc. ("Romios" or "the Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:RG)(OTCBB:RMIOF)(FRANKFURT:D4R) is pleased to announce that Mr. Doug Bolton has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer ("C.F.O.") of Corporation and has been granted an option to purchase 250,000 common shares in the capital of the Corporation. This option is exercisable at a price of $0.65 per share for a period of five years, subject to vesting provisions. The appointment of Mr. Bolton as C.F.O. and the grant of the option to him are subject to acceptance by the TSX Venture Exchange.|
Doug obtained his CA designation in 1976. After a two-year stint with Arthur Young (now Ernst & Young) in Bermuda, Doug returned to Toronto and joined the Toronto Tax Group at Ernst & Young for one year before starting out in public practice as a sole-practitioner. In 1983, he joined Carol Bolton in the formation of Bolton & Bolton, Chartered Accountants.
Doug works primarily on the audits of public companies in the junior resource sector. Many of these clients engaged the firm in the mid-1980's and are still clients today. In addition, Doug also works with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario as a part-time practice inspector involved in the peer-review of small to medium sized CA practices throughout Ontario.
Mr. Bolton replaces Mr. Thomas Skimming as C.F.O. Mr. Skimming will continue as Vice President, Exploration and a director of the Corporation. The directors would like to express their appreciation to Mr. Skimming for fulfilling the role of interim C.F.O.
The Corporation also wishes to announce that it has granted an additional 1,618,000 options in aggregate to purchase common shares of the Corporation at $0.65 for five (5) years to one (1) consultant and five (5) directors of the Corporation. The grants are subject to acceptance by the TSX Venture Exchange.
The Corporation also wishes to announce that Garth Kirkham, a director of Romios, has been recently elected to the national council for the Geological Association of Canada and is currently serving as the 2007 Chair of the Mineral Deposits Division. Mr. Kirkham has also been appointed the Hutchison Medal and Howard Street Robinson Distinguished Lecture Tour Coordinator.
